Los Vigiles Living Traditions
Fiber Studio & Supply

The Vigil family has been weaving under their current roof since 1989, creating one-of-a-kind textiles in the Rio Grande/Chimayó/Contemporary style. We also help raise animals at several farms along the Rio Grande to provide our shop with quality fibers and for sale to other individuals. We hand spin only a few textiles a year in the Rio Grande/Chimayó tradition, for which we pick local vegetation for the natural dying process. We are a small family operation that also conducts workshops in fiber related techniques. We pride ourselves on quality. Rose holds degrees in business, art, and psychology. Eugene has many generations of textile knowledge and is a master woodworker. Los Vigiles is the home of the "Chimayó Production Loom," designed by Rose and built by Eugene. We are dealers of other fine art and craft items and equipment, all of which we proudly represent in our studio.
